This list of radiation monitoring stations could be potentially life saving so take the time to study the information provided below.

You are very welcome to freely pass this information on to other people.

Keeping a pdf version of this document on your device, laptop, tablet or phone would be wise, so you can instantly access the monitoring station links the moment you become aware of an event.

Here is an animation of Northern, and Southern Hemisphere air circulation. This shows that were a major nuclear event to occur most of the nuclear fallout would remain in that hemisphere the event occurred in. It also shows that during a major nuclear event, some the radiation fallout could find its way into any part of the world!

In the “Helpful Tools and Services” items table below, you will find a link to the Nullschool 3D Earth wind map service. In a nuclear event scenario, having information on the local wind direct will be very important. This service allows you to see real time location wind direction at different heights. You can rotate the 3D map by holding down your mouse on the map, and dragging. If you use your mouse scroll wheel you can zoom the map in and out. If you click on the “Earth” item at the lower left corner of the Nullschool wind map page, a menu will pop up, that allows you to select the wind height.

NOTE: A lot of evidence points to Government run monitoring systems in Japan, USA, Canada, and Europe were being manipulated to protect the Nuclear industry during the the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster! High detections were explained away by equipment malfunctions, or they just turned the public view off during an event.

In Japan they have been caught placing lead backup batteries near the sensors to shield them, placing the monitoring equipment high off the ground, only decontaminating an area around monitoring stations, plus altering the monitoring equipment so it shows much lower readings. This tells you that you can’t trust governments during a nuclear event!

Important Notes:

Various live radiation monitoring station networks operate Geiger Counters or other detection equipment, that can have different sensitivities. Meaning, two different Geiger counter models using different Geiger counter tubes placed at the same location would show different counts per minute (CPM). One could show 12 cpm, while an another 120 cpm.

If they used a scintillator for detection purposes, which is even a more sensitive Gamma radiation detector, it could be in the thousands of counts per minute. Monitoring station counts per minute measurement all depends on the type of detection equipment the monitoring station is using.

uSv/hr or uRem/hr measurements are a way of defining human exposure dose rates independent of Counts Per Minute (CPM) equipment sensitivities.

You can only compare detections of a monitoring station against it’s average background for that location. If it usually averaged around 12 cpm, 0.10 uSv/hr or 10uRem/hr at that particular location, this would be considered the average background level at that location.

It may not be unusual to get a very brief detection three times this. If it stayed 3x or more background for any length of time, then something more serious is possibly happening.

Every circumstance is different, so the coloured background level chart below is only meant to provide a general overview of risk level. It is not an official guide. Always do further research to assess your risk levels if a nuclear event were to occur.

All monitoring systems are subject to malfunctions at times. Two or more monitoring stations in close proximity indicating an increase in background level is statistically more likely to be an indication of a genuine event.

The Community Environmental Monitoring Program (CEMP), Monitoring Nevada and Utah, is a network of 29 monitoring stations located in communities surrounding and downwind of the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS), formerly the Nevada Test Site (NTS), that monitor the airborne environment for man made radioactivity.
