Early attempts to locate the dump

In the early 80s, Dan Hirsch of Committee to Bridge the gap led a group of citizens and scientists in a fruitless effort to find evidence of the nuke dump buried on West L.A. VA property.

Evidence Plowed Under

Days after securing a helicopter to fly over the West LA VA to look for evidence of mutated plant growth over large areas of the dump, the VA had the area plowed over. In December 2007, VA honcho Ralph Tillman promised a $1 million investigation of the dump which ended costing $2 million.
