This document lists several buildings that were part of the animal and human radiation research during the Cold War years. Building 114, listed below, was and is still used for research.


Building 340, listed in this document as containing “Radiation Waste,” has a fading sign that reads “Human Radiation Counting Room.” This small building was used to measure radiation in human test subjects deliberately injected or exposed to radioactive elements. The metal structure is nestled among other buildings that appear to be several decades old with radiation signs on the VA structures.
